Welcome to Rumpala Charter, Sodwana Bay’s premier fishing charter. Booking with us ensures you have a fantastic fishing adventure.
Rumpala has a fully equipped Cobra Cat 700 boat registered for six anglers and a skipper and is perfect for marlin and big game fishing. In addition, our experienced captain has more than 20 years of fishing experience. The Rumpala boat is equipped with 2 Lowrance GPS/Fish finder, a VHF-radio for communication, among other features.
Everything on Rumpala’s boat is up to date and double-checked before each Charter to provide you with a safe and rewarding experience the entire family can enjoy.

We are an owner-operated business, which means we love fishing just as much as you do. So, rest assured that your experience will be an enjoyable one.
Sodwana Bay is located within the iSimangaliso Wetland Park, a world heritage site that is synonymous with incredible fishing experiences. Rumpala is also 1 of 9 licensed charter operating in Sodwana.
Our Pricing:
Game fishing – R 9 500 per day
Marlin fishing – R 10 000 per day
We Supply
When you book the boat for the day, we supply:
• Fishing equipment
• A braai (optional at no extra cost)
• Soft drinks
You only have to bring the following:
• Sun Protection (Hat, Sun Glasses and Sunscreen)
• Something to snack on or meat to braai
• Fishing License for each angler
Furthermore, we will arrange to clean and vacuum pack all the fish you catch.
However, we fully support tag and release on all Billfish.
